data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"328\">He studied organ at the Plze\u0148 Conservatory with Prof. Jitka Chaloupkov\u00e1 and in Prague with Prof. Jan Hora, and improvisation with Prof. Jaroslav Vodr\u00e1\u017eka. In 1980-1985 he worked as organist of St. Bartholomew&#8217;s&nbsp;Cathedral in Plze\u0148, in 1985-1990 as organist and chaplain of St. Margaret&#8217;s&nbsp;Basilica at the Benedictine Archabbey in Prague-B\u0159evnov.   <\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"330\" data-end=\"587\">Since 1990 he has been the Director of Cathedral Music at the Royal Canonry of Premonstratensians in Strahov, Prague, where he founded the Collegium Strahoviense Cathedral Choir. He excels in improvisation and has won two first prizes in improvisation competitions (1982, 1988). <\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"589\" data-end=\"935\">He has performed in the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Holland, Italy, Spain, France, Poland, Romania, Moldova, USA and Japan. The village is said to have been founded in 1253 by a&nbsp;locator named Berthold, from whom it got its name. Gradually, the German name of the village became Barzdorf. In 1384 there was to be an independent parish in Bo\u017eanov. In 1784 the settlement of Studen\u00e1 Voda (Kaltwasser) was founded in the neighbourhood.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"458\" data-end=\"799\">Bo\u017eanov has always been a&nbsp;predominantly agricultural village, and it must be said that it has been relatively successful &#8211; natural conditions favoured the local farmers. With the onset of the Industrial Revolution, however, the remote Bo\u017eanov began to stagnate. In 1872-1875, several families from Bo\u017eanov made their way across the ocean to South America, where a&nbsp;group of Broumov natives founded Nov\u00fd Broumov in Chile.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"801\" data-end=\"994\">After the post-war expulsion of the German population, the village was populated mainly by Czech immigrants from the interior. However, it did not reach its pre-war population numbers and some of the original buildings have disappeared. <\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"996\" data-end=\"1389\">The dominant feature of Bo\u017eanov is the church of St. Mary Magdalene, originally dedicated to St. Bartholomew, which may have stood here since the beginnings of the village. At the beginning of the 18th century, Bo\u017eanov saw the construction of a&nbsp;magnificent Baroque sanctuary, which is still the pearl of the village today. The Bo\u017eanov church belongs to the so-called Broumov Baroque churches of Dientzenhofer. Its construction development is quite complex and took place in several stages.      <\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1391\" data-end=\"1867\">In the first phase, in 1708-1709, the tower and the presbytery were built (or rebuilt), while the rest of the church remained wooden. The architect of these alterations is unknown. The second phase of reconstruction, concerning the main part of the church, took place between 1733 and 1738. According to experts, Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer was most likely behind the design. The core of the new church was a&nbsp;large central circular space, arched by a&nbsp;brick dome with eight lunettes. The presbytery is continuously connected to the original tower.     <\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1869\" data-end=\"2029\">The Vamberick\u00e1 pilgrimage route led through the upper end of Bo\u017eanov. Pilgrims descended from the ridge of the Broumov Walls and continued via Studena Voda and Radk\u00f3w to Vamberice. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-27044a6c elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"27044a6c\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-extended\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column
