(*1988, Chicago) is an American organist and teacher, recognized as one of the leading organists of his generation. He is an associate professor at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester and a consultant in organ studies at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. He studied at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, then at the Conservatoire \u00e0 Rayonnement R\u00e9gional in Toulouse, and earned a master’s degree from the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik Stuttgart under Ludger Lohmann. <\/p>\n

He has performed all over the world and has appeared at the Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Berlin Philharmonic and the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris. In 2017, he became the first resident organist at St.-Bavokerk Church in Haarlem and in 2022 he made his debut at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.<\/p>\n

He is regularly invited to the inaugurations of major organs, for example at Canterbury, King’s College, Cambridge, Zaryadye Hall, Moscow and Gothenburg, and he participates in prestigious organ festivals around the world.<\/p>\n

His discography includes the GRAMMY Award-winning album Stephen Paulus: Three Places of Enlightenment<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

A series of concerts is scheduled throughout the season, so be sure to check out the other pages of this brochure. What should you not miss in Cologne? Especially Bartholomew’s Hill, a treasure in the heart of Cologne. In addition to the Old Parish School, you can visit the Church of St. Bartholomew, which has undergone a costly renovation in recent years. The Baroque ossuary from 1733 with its unique ornamental decoration is also accessible. The bell tower displays the church’s treasures, and the tower offers an exhibition of bells and a great view of the city. <\/p>\n

The powder house, the Gothic landmark of Z\u00e1lab\u00ed, which was formerly a powder magazine, has been converted into a lookout. It is from this tower that the view across the Elbe to the Church of St. Bartholomew is truly unique. <\/p>\n

Lovers of views and technical monuments should not forget the Vod\u00e1rna lookout tower, a unique technical and architectural monument of interwar architecture.<\/p>\n

Cologne’s Jewish jewel, Jerusalem on the Elbe, is a unique collection of Jewish monuments. The history of Kol\u00edn’s Jewish community is best explored in the synagogue, which is one of the oldest in the Czech Republic, and you can visit two Jewish cemeteries or walk the trail of the stones of the disappeared. <\/p>\n
